I have no idea why, but I wanted to do something with a lot of pink. Yeah, yeah. I know. I'm not normally a pink person. But there was this cool pink marble paper that was given to me by a friend, and I was pausing on another work I was doing, and I'm locked inside to try not to get anyone sick and ... and ... and ... So, anyway. Pink.
I made the leaves by cutting the shapes from green patterned paper and adding the veins in a deep gold. I cut the larger flowers by hand and the smaller, quilled ones, with my Silhouette. The tiny red roses, I had lying around, as well as the fabric and ribbon ones. I tried to get a bit of a spiral effect going because I thought it would be interesting. All of this is on a cardboard form because why not?
It still wasn't quite the way I wanted it, so I used some Shimmer Mist in pink, a lavender kind of pink, and a pearlescent white. Once the mist was added, it was perfect.
