Hand made book-page flowers and "gothic" leaf accents make for a lasting impression. Each of the roses was made from book pages, so that the writing enhances the flower. Half of them were also streaked with red and black ink, and then accented with copper. The other half of the flowers were sprayed with a shimmer spray, so that they are a redish color, with copper mica, giving them a subtle sheen. The leaves were made from black paper, accented with copper "veins" for a nice finish.
The base of the wreath is cardboard, covered with book papers, and then inked and decorated, so that it would match the flowers. The oval shape adds a bit of quirkiness to the overall item, and is finished with a bit of ribbon on the back for easy hanging.
The entire wreath has been finished with a light spray to make it UV resistant, but since it is all paper and cardboard, this is designed to be an indoor decoration. All inks and glues are archival, acid and lingin free.
The sign is the Addams Family motto, with the terrible Latin that roughly translates to "We gladly feast on those who would subdue us."
