When you want your ears to have some extra flash, you want to grab these unique pieces of joy! These earrings are designed using mokume gane which is an ancient Japanese metalworking technique where the clay is layered together, then distorted, and then new layers are shaved from the melded clay. For these earrings, I used deep royal colors - purple, green and a mustard yellow - with veins of copper leaf throughout. The cutout shape is a rounded rectangle tuned on its side with the center cut out. Several brass findings were used to amp up the glam on these lovelies and the hanger on these earring is a custom made hook from copper wire. The total length of the earring is 2 1/8 inches, the width is 1 1/2 inches, and the weight is 0.1 oz.
