I have always been creative. Art is my first love, drawing and painting from the time I was very young. My first painting was exhibited while still in elementary school. Over time water colors, pastels, ink and stained glass kept me occupied.
Jewelry captured my interest while working for a high end jeweler in a resort town. Part of my job was restringing pearl necklaces and also stringing jewelry for retail. Most of my pay check went to buying jewelry that caught my fancy.
After the store closed, I went back to painting and belonged to two art guilds.
A friend gave me a bracelet she made and showed me all of the ones she still had. That did it for me. Something to do on a cold Montana winter night when it was too cold to cut stained glass or pry oil paint out of a tube in my studio above the garage.
Soon I was buying beads like crazy...then needed findings and tools and storage. Did you know sorting beads is a very Zen activity?
People were buying bracelets off of my arm and someone suggested that I try selling on line.
So here I am. Now my goal is to make affordable jewelry that every one can wear and love.
